CFI to United Airlines
Good afternoon all,
I have been hired by LAT Arizona (Flight School) to work as a CFI for 1.5 years to then transition directly to United Airlines. It is by far, the quickest way to get to a legacy carrier! I wanted to start this thread to inform anyone interested about the program to help guide you through the process. If you are approaching minimum 500 hours or have more, please feel free to private message me to get more details on the program.

They do not sponsor your CFI Single Engine. You would need that as well as your CFII to be eligible. With that the minimums also include 250 hours dual given and 200 instrument hours (foggles, some simulator time can be included, as well as all time spent on an IFR flight plan).
As far as why they look for in an applicant, just gotta set yourself apart from the rest. Bachelor degree is highly recommended and interview prep is a MUST!

Is a job at United gauranteed in writing?
The way I am reading it after 18 months you are eligible to be in their hiring pool. Is it the same as the career path program or is it completely different?
Does it give you a way in to Luthansa or KLM if you want ?

same, maybe you get a job at a United Airlines...regional but I could never see a major hiring someone with just CFI time. Most CFI at that stage have zero jet and definitely zero 121 time. There are so many more qualified guys to suck up in the regionals. The majors arent that desperate yet
