Exactly. I'm in a flying job that has a training contract, because people is the past did exactly what was described here. Get the training from one company, then bail and go to another.

Most on the forum are very pilot centric. If they opened their eyes a little, it is clear that no company providing valuable training could afford the lost in training costs if people were to take advantage of a type rating or even a minimum numbers of hours before bailing. At some level of airlines it would seem that traning contracts might bnot be as required as some other positions. Either they are career destinations OR they have a different approach from a training contract called requirement for PIC hours to advance to the next level.

As far as whether or not you should take one of the 2 jobs, or try for one of 2 others in 33 hours really depends on which companies you would work for. If you take a job now, expect to keep it for at least a year. In my opinion, that would be the right thing to do. It took me a couple of years to build the first 100 hours of multi engine time, so taking one of the first two might be the best way to go in the long run, depending on who it is with. The hiring prospects will be very different in a year or two, and you will have many more options then as long as you choose wisely now.

If you want to make yourself look like an idiot in public, have at it. I am always amused when people say this is just an online forum and not an English class. Do you have that same attitude when talking to people or during a job interview? Becaue those places are not an English class either.

I have a vaca planned and paid for from 27th Sep to 10th Oct. I don't want to jump into anything till after but if I have to I will.

Are you not an MEI. No one you can split some time with in a dutchess or seminole???

Let me get this straight. You're trying to decide wether or not to pass on 2 companies you haven't interviewed or received a job offer at in order to get 33 more hours of multi to try and interview at 2 other companies. An interview and job offer might help your decision.

You're right Swedish just got a call from TSA to interview but I'm still going for my ever elusive 33hrs of multi. I never got my mei because there wasn't a multi within an hour or two and non for instruction. But either way. If anyone has any info on TSA let me know.

I'll advise you not to go waste that money on getting the multi unless the money is not an issue for you but if it wasn't you wouldn't have started this thread. Just imagine spending all that money to get the 33hrs of multi and within weeks the airlines drop the mins from 100 to 50 multi. I'm not saying it'll happen but I've seen it happen many times before. Just go with whoever gives you an interview and a job offer. Once you have the experience and still want to try the other 2 airlines then apply with them.
