Has anyone else noticed an increase lately in major maintenance issues on these 145s? It seems like I have a serious write-up nearly every leg and I keep hearing about a new emergency that has happened almost daily. These jets are starting to show their age I think.

Last couple months have been rough. All kinds of issues. Think we are at 2 engine failures in 3 months.

Well that's what happens when you fly around 30 year old airplanes that have taken a beating during their lifespan. I mean look how many cycles we put on them daily. Plus, the band aid fixes that PDT does are clearly not cutting it anymore. The 145 is not the dash, if something breaks it means it's really broken.

Absolutely. Do you not follow the PDT twitter and see them constantly looking for pilots to fill flying for triple? Plus they are running out of RSV pilots who are flying full trips since they cannot staff the flying.

Not even busy yet. Weather and maintenance is their reason right now. Wait another couple of months and staffing will make it a complete trifecta on the excuse matrix. How do you convince them that the lack of efficiency in the scheduled is the real reason? Plenty of crews sitting around in hotels.
