Yeah, a retread. As in, you came from another operator.
You were searching around for the best company for you to become a DEC in spring of last year. That begs the question, did you just decide to stick it out in the right seat at PDT even though you came here during the DEC "era"? You think the flow is dumb, but you made a decision that would make you far less marketable to get hired outside of it?
The alternate being, you came to PDT as a DEC (all signs point to this, your post history is easily searchable) and are now going to Spirit since F9 promised you a spring class and keeps kicking that proverbial can down the road. And you're just here to act all high and mighty for whatever reason.

Piedmont pilots asking for more efficient schedules benefits Piedmont. Flying a four day trip with 20 or more hard hours would seem to be the goal. Seeing the company is paying the hotel fees and per diem already for three nights, why not squeeze more out of a pilot in flight time? It's what Southwest has done forever, and need I even begin to tell you how profitable they are? You are actually helping apparently inept people do their job better by asking for more efficient schedules.
How some of you think this is asking for the moon, is insane.
The pilots looking to go to Regionals know the story at Piedmont. That's why they continue to go to Republic. Until Piedmont schedules and pays better, you are going to continue having staffing issues. How anyone could let this drag on speaks even more to how poorly this airline is managed.
The bad reputation is getting worse.

And now this:
Dude is all over the place. Regardless, if he did get an offer from F9, NK, and now, a few weeks later, a legacy... I give the guy serious props.

I have 500 hours of PIC in a Cessna 172 and NASA just offered me a commander position on the next lunar mission. Pretty sweet.

Well PJ retires this year I believe. And they will send the others to mgmt at other wo's. Mgmt needs to grow balls and insist on longer stages or else the schedules won't improve. I do not believe it will be a merger. My thought is why not take the money you may get some small improvements elsewhere too but it won't be enough to increase hiring. Play the long game. That's how you have to do it to get anything meaningful at that level of the industry. I'm rooting for you guys and I don't wanna see pdt go away. If people believe that that cant and wont happen... well it can. I hope people keep leaving pdt for carriers other than aag. That will eventually get to Dallas. That's when things will actually change.
