Hey,
I've been looking into Piedmont and have a few friends who have been waiting months for simulator slots. Are there any updates on this and how it might looking forward, into this Spring?
Thanks!

anywhere from 6-12 months. It's been like this since 2015 and although we have been working on catching up, we havent yet. so expect that for now.

Allegedly folks in Feb Indoc started flying at the end of August... so 7 3/4 months delay if true is probably on the lower end of the range, with 11 months being the Higher end for new Hire FOs and 3-6 months for Captains.

Sounds like largest source of attrition in the company is NH FOs prior to starting ground school... and the companies solution to that will be running more ground school classes after the new year, in order to shift the wait period from between indoc and ground school to between ground school and sims in order to dissuade folks from leaving out of fear of having a training failure on their record.

Envelope math is saying that is almost $500,000 per month expenditure on idle talent. Airline economics is interesting.
