Why so you can wait 3-6 more months before you actually fly the real plane? By that time, you would be done training and have accumulated several hundred hours at a few of those other airlines.
Don't forget once you finally do hit the line you'll be sitting reserve for a while, making 75 hours credit. Once you actually hold a line? Yeah, still 75 hours and ONLY 11 days off. Hopefully no one lured you here on the triple premium bandwagon as that ship has sailed (at least for FOs). There is no more premium pay for picking up open time. And good luck picking anything up as we are very well staffed on FOs and you will only get 11 days off. Do you like making money? Look elsewhere. Did you hear the company is planning to stop growing at the end of this year? It'll take you AT LEAST another 2.5 years to upgrade, probably longer when upgrade time rises due to overstaffing. Good luck! PS: If you were hired 5 months ago, plan on flowing 8-9 years from now. Not 3-5 like recruiting told you. |

Thanks 67,
After five months of waiting around Unfortunately, after your first five months waiting for training at Piedmont, you're *still* closer to being a line pilot at another airline than you are at Piedmont. |
