Default Piedmont gets crazy high new pay rates

"This transformative approach to pilot compensation will make pilots at Piedmont the highest paid in the regional airline industry. With the supportability premium, our pilot wages will be 50-70% higher (57% on average) than the next highest paid regional carrier, Endeavor.

Including all bonuses, a new hire pilot should expect to make 31% more than pilots at Endeavor and 10% more than pilots at leading Ultra Low-Cost Carriers (ULCCs) over the first five years."

Increase wages plus premium in place until August 2024

FO start at $90/hour up to TOS $72.50
CA start at $146.25/hour up to TOS $213.75

How does an FO "start" at $90/hour, then go "up" to $72.50? Does not compute.

So a year 4 FO makes more than a year 4 captain? Interesting system.

But what happens after 2024 with the pilot shortage still in place, do they go back to 52 dollar starting pay? But congratulations to these guys.

Also think these numbers are off as what I saw was 157 I believe for a 4 year CA.

I think those rates can be extended beyond 2024. My question is, are the 10k FO and 20k DEC referral bonus still in play?

Under the new contract, a four-year Piedmont captain’s salary immediately goes to $157 per hour including 50% pay premium that remains in place until 2024. That rises to $161 per hour in 2023. A one-year first officer’s pay goes to $90 per hour including a $30 per hour premium. In 2023, first-year first officer pays rises to $93 per hour.

Under the flow agreement, pilots go to top scale at the end of the fifth year if they have not advanced to American mainline.

Referral bonus is $10,000
Near entry captain bonus is $10,000 (600 hours of 121 time)
Direct entry captain bonus is $15,000 (950 hours of 121 time)

Sign on bonus is $15,000
145 Type rating bonus is $7500
One year bonus is $15,000
CA upgrade bonus is $30,000
CA upgrade + 1 year bonus is $40,000
Upgrade +2 years is $40,000
Flow bonus is $25,000

Easy to get confused.

Base pay changed, too. But enhanced pay is contractual until 2024 with option to extend.
