Meet the Chief @ PHL
Would it be bad form to go to the Meet the Chief session at the PHL airport marriott next week if I'm 1600TT and they are gearing the meeting towards DECs and high time FOs? I ask because a recruiter told me, and people on this forum have indicated, that PIA is starting to dip back into the low timer applciations for FO positions, and there are no other pilot meetups on the calendar ohter than for DECs. Just trying to get some face time if it would be of any value towards getting an interview in the near future.

update/edit: question is moot since the 'reserve a spot' link says it's full

I agree that the FO hiring is picking back up now. I just got a CJO this week and I'm at 1530 TT (mostly military turbine time) and 360 PIC. They said there was a lull in FO hiring until more DECs came onboard, but now FO hiring is back to normal. So yes, I'd go. Have you already applied?

I'm by no means a reliable source on this, but when I was looking at Aviation Interviews to get ready, I saw a couple folks who got hired with 400-500 hours of multi-time. Most had well over a thousand, however. But in general it seems like they are aggressively hiring right now, so if you meet the minimums, I'd apply for sure. Hope that helps.
