And a note to the crack squad of geniuses in charge of security and the airspace in and around D.C.: If you are evacuating a building (especially one the size of the Capitol building) AFTER an aircraft penetrates P-56, it is too late. You have failed.
You talking about China?

Do you fly professionally? It happens all the time ... A better question for the peanut gallery on here is, how do you run off the end of a long runway with a perfectly good airplane, and fair weather? (Too soon?)

You should be more concerned with the fact that you live in a country where the only people allowed to fly over your capitol are the "terrorist."

Anyway thats enough ranting for me today...

You don't brake? Oh sorry, it was rhetorical.

Over Montana or South Dakota maybe, but not flying into D.C. If YOU fly professionally you should know that. This proves, along with your runway reference, that no matter how big your airplane is (I didn't say age or experience level intentionally, I know the resumes of many of the old PDT Captains) mistakes can be made. Be careful out there...everybody.

10,000 on downwind is normal in DCA, case you're wondering. Pretty much after you pass the airport they ask you for a visual and dump you

I think they entered P56.
I don't think they entered P-56. I believe the "restricted airspace" that is discussed in the news item is in reference to the Washington DC Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ). 0/8326 NOTAM Details

Operating in the FRZ without maintaining two-way radio communications would be a big no-no. In a DHC8 coming from the south into DCA, it would be quite difficult to end up north of the Potomac and west of the Anacostia to violate P56. Not impossible, but very difficult.
