Piedmont short runway

Impugned... Good word choice... Not an attack on ALG people, but an attack on your first post. Perhaps the bourbon has been mis-firing my synapses a bit, but your first post seemed a bit ............ and I did not know about the op specs, as I left prior to the change (it was the "shrug" at the end of your post). Oops. I rescind my prior post and wish you the best of luck. And screw PSA!!! Yeah, I don't come here often.

KBFI- Boeing Field
The short runway (3710'). B747-400, at max landing weight (652,000 pounds, if I remember correctly for that sim)
I'll be damned if she didn't make it off the runway with room to spare.
Landing? No problem. Taxied off on A7, second to last exit.
All in the sim, of course, but damn, what a fine piece of airplane.

Way back in the day everybody used 33R. 1900's, Metros, Dash's (-7 and -8) I think even the Shorts. Then the airplanes got to big and to fast and managements got too scared. Then it was only the 1900 and the Dash. I flew the Beech and my brother flew the Dash. Both of us liked that KBOS landing. Looks like the Dash 8 is the last man standing. I used to get excited when they were using the 33's. It livened up the 4 landings in KBOS for the day. It wasn't as bad as a 727 at KMDW. A few really hot or snowy days there took a few years off my life! I wouldn't change either experience though. It gave me great memories and stories.
