Default Piedmont short runway

I used to fly a dash and knew it can stop quickly but never flew the -200 and -300.

In Boston yesterday I believe it was a -200 flew the ILS 27 transition to 33R. 33R is only 2557' long and it got me thinking..what is the shortest you can accept? I can't imagine finding a much shorter runway than that out in the system.

Would have been a 100, no 200's left. BOS and HHH are the shortest we do.

Holy crap that is short! I guess the Navy has their new C-2 replacement! How are your trap skills?

Hey we land the C-17 in 3500 no problem all the time! And it's empty weight is 288K add some fuel and cargo and you're at 400K landing on a 3500ft runway...but really we only use like 2000 for landing and 1500-2000 for takeoff. In fact in Iraq we would often be off the ground at 370K in 1500ft.

It was cool to see. I know I could stop the dash and my current plane on that runway in an emergency but we wouldn't have the opspecs or data to even legally attempt it. The -400 had awesome brakes but even that I don't recall us doing under 4000'.

It was funny, the female on the radio had a strong accent and kept saying 34R, after correcting her 3 times the controller gave up.

Gusty. Probably around the 300° mark in the 15-20 gusting 25 or so.

Landing in 2500ft is easy.
