FOM states 1000 121 time and 2500 total time. The total time is a requirement by American and insurance. It used to be 3000 tt.

Maybe, but they just took the 2500 tt requirement out of our (Envoy) FM1, now all you need are ATP captain mins.

It will be interesting to see if we follow suit.

Default Flow time

Currently may 2018 based on pilot numbers and the pilots who refuse the flow currently ( pilots can change their mind here ) is approx 8 years . The only thing taken into account is yes or no to flow . Currently 715 pilots on the list , 5 flowing per month for 10 months of the year .... This is worst case with attrition not taken into account . Look at 11 days off per month to start , reserve block then two months of build up lines . When able to hold a line - 11 days off per month, if you commute it means 1 full day at home before headed back to philly . Dont even expect a CLT base , it’s senior and I have been at piedmont over a year and was out bid by over 100 names . I currently have well over 200 new hires behind me.

That whole 1 day at home stuff for a commuter isn't really accurate. It was with outstation basing, not so much these days. There are a lot of our trips that start at 1200 or later and end late morning/early afternoon. Many of these are on the so-called junior lines. I can make it to base and home on the same day I'm working 99 percent of the time.

I know this is all speculation, but with all the AA retirements, will they not have to increase the flow rate? Is Piedmont’s growth based off of hiring and if so, could they end up the size of PSA? Is coming to PDT still a better choice than Commutair, Mesa, or somewhere else. Every airline forum on apc has folks saying go somewhere else because there’s much better options etc etc etc. This of course leaves no where to go making it hard to get facts. I’m really interested in pdt, and like the flow, but looking also for a decent upgrade time and qol. Any constructive thoughts? Thanks.

Robert Isom was at a townhall meeting a few weeks ago and laid out the fleet plans for the three wholly owned carriers. Envoy is to be around 200 airplanes, PSA, 150, and PDT around 60.
