Looks like Delta flight 35 canceled from AMS to EWR.

A breath test found he had a blood alcohol content of 0.023 percent — a hair above the legal limit in the Netherlands.


Move along, nothing to see here. He just got a $900 lesson in the difference between Dutch law and the FAR's.

FAR's indicate a null test is .02 and below, anything above that is considered positive by the FAR's. It may not be intoxicated but it is positive.

doesn't Delta have a zero tolerance policy? Meaning it has to be .000 or else you cannot fly.... among many other pleasantries.

Not if they didn't finish the before start checklist. At least that's what the ALPA drinking guy told our class. Nun the less...This guys life has just turned upside down for a few hours of what he thought was fun (maybe.)
