I have the exact same situation. I was asked to take a lung function test and it is not going well for me.I am asking for an extension and being referred to a pulmonologist. I would recommend a pft test before to much time and money pass by though

Congrats!! Did you have problems in the past getting your Med? I know a guy who I fly with that has it and never had a problem getting his med. hopefully the FAA won't give you any problems with it. Good luck

I haven't received anything from the FAA yet. I've done pulmonary function tests in the past and didn't have an issue. I've never had to take advair or singulair or any other kind of preventative. The only medications I've had in the past are Ulverston or ventolin which are pretty much the same thing.
