Thanks
What is the training schedule like? Take home training? Weekends off from ground school? Any training breaks between indoc and sims? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect in regards to time away from home during the initial.

No take home training. We actually teach people in the classroom and don't expect you to learn it all on your own.

Thinking of coming to PSA
Thinking about applying to PSA... please help answer a few questions...
1) How commutable are reserve lines?
2) What are the reserve callout times?
3) How many days off do we get on reserve?
4) With R1 lines, how many days off do we typically get after SAP?
5) When do most trips start/end?
6) How's the seniority movement? Lots of attrition?
7) Do you think PSA will still have short upgrade times?

Need more info...what bases do you want?
Reserve in DAY/CVG/DCA are really short. CLT is less than a year and dropping. Commuting sucks at every airline. You will get 11 or 12 days off when on reserve. If you take a DAY or CVG base, expect to be on reserve 2 months at the most.
With the SAP, you can get 10 days off, or 19 days off, just depends on what you want. It just depends on how much you want to get paid. Work more, get paid more. Work less, get paid less.
Lots of movement, and upgrade times are just over 2 years and dropping. Those that were hired about 3 months ago are in a great spot, but you have not missed the wave yet.
Most of PSA are commuters, and the vast majority have no major issues.

Thanks! I'm looking at either CVG or DAY. Both easy commutes from ORD. Do you know the reserve callout times for them?
I also read that CVG might shrink. Is that true? How often can I rebid for a base?
Thanks again.

2 hr callouts in all bases for SCR except in TYS which is 1 hr. CVG might shrink but as of right now thats a rumor. They actually added 1 more round 1 line for May and I suspect that we might get a few more over the summer as flying is increased. Only time will tell if the bases grows or shrinks.

The talk of CVG shrinking/closing has been going on since it opened. Even if true things happen slow, lots of time to consider your options.

Thanks, ha!
What time does call availability start?
