You know that you're right when PSAHelp, PSARecruiter, and the usual self-serving PSA cheerleaders aren't coming on here to defend the company and try to shine the turd.

"Self-serving"??? Yes. They need new hires to join PSA so that they can upgrade. No new hires? No upgrades.

Don't forget, no upgrades... No increase to flow. Oh wait, that's right. Management won't increase it anyways. Disregard and carry on. But seriously, where are all the little PSA cheer pukes. It's Saturday. They probably SAP'd out of the weekend so they can ride their unicorns through fantasy land.

This is disconcerting for myself and several co-workers all interviewing with PSA in the next few weeks. One friend has interviewed with TSA, one with Piedmont, and myself with Envoy (we're military RW guys.)

We've all been....."disappointed" thus far and were really hoping PSA would be the group to go with. We've read through the forums since last year and for the most part, it still seems like PSA is improving, or at the very least will give you all the flight time you can handle these days with short reserve st places like DC and Ohio.

If 14 hour 4-day trips are what you consider all the flying you can handle then come on down! That is the BS that trickles down to reserves. If you want to be treated well, go to Piedmont. PSA is NOT the group to be with, they say they are and will feed you a big line of crap, maybe even give you a bottle opener and a plush toy with the PSA logo on it, but once they get you and you sign the contract that you have to stay here or pay your signing bonus back you will regret it. That's when you start experiencing the true PSA way.

I gotta be honest man, I don't know if that's supposed to be a lot or a little. Max is what....8 hours a day? So compared to 32, 14 is pretty small.

What would the nominal number be that I would/should expect on a 4 day trip (so I have an idea)?

Mid to upper twenties is good for a 4 day.

PSA has very few 4-days in the mid 20's. Upper 20's? Better chance of having a naked leprechaun hand you a pot of gold while standing at the urinal in the Charlotte airport.

Even if all of the bad press is true, PSA is still better than just about every other regional.

The games that management is playing is the same thing that happens at mainline carriers

It is upsetting because we all want it to be perfect, but this is how this industry works. If you are complaining about PSA, then you would really hate anywhere else.

I came from the 135 world 8 months ago and PSA is by far and away a much better place to work at than any of the previous gigs I've had.

Oh so here we have a PSA cheerleader who posted the same I love PSA post in at least 2 different threads, copy and paste. Management troll? Recruiter? If management here is playing the same game as mainline management teams, why do all pilots who left here for a mainline carrier say don't worry, it gets better after being a line holding captain here and becoming a reserve FO there?
