Good for you! I'm thinking the same.

If you guys decide to come to Republic feel free to reach out, happy to split the referral bonus.

Keep that referral bonus for yourself. It’s yours. You really are, “that guy”. Have some self-respect. FOs are paid handsomely at most regionals now. They get bonuses just for signing on the dotted line. Why even offer to split it? It’s YOUR bonus.

Coming from the guy who complained about how terrible reserve was when he wasn’t even here but for a brief time. Reserve sucks everywhere. It’s a regional. Guys sat reserve for years and years under far worse contracts than ours. Yet you couldn’t hack being screwed around with by crew scheduling for a short time. How would you not have known what you were getting into? I hope the grass is greener for you over at Republic.

This industry is a real mother. It’s good now but it will be bad again. Contracts can be gutted. Furloughs can happen. Companies will fold. It’s all cyclical and we’re at the top of what has been the biggest upswing in most of our careers. If being on reserve and getting jerked around by scheduling grinds your gears then this probably isn’t the industry for you. Welcome to the suck.

I actually meant far from flow eligible. Forced upgrade around the corner.

You’ve got a real problem it seems but I could care less. There were other things that irked me besides crappy reserve games that pushed me to make the move. Many have said the same about the referral bonus so if that has you putting your pants the wrong way that’s on you. You yourself have talked about the the company in a bad way but god forbid someone else have a sim opinion.
Your insight into my career here, there, or anywhere isn’t something I’ll waste too much time on but thanks anyway

Thank God I “sold the Top“ for once in my life! I wouldn't say I'm being paid "handsomely" though. It's a bit better than a kick in the... pants.

A glance at the October attrition

36 pilots left (16 captains and 20 first officers) with pilot total standing at 1848 (gain of 9).

Full details posted around 9/23.

Any idea at what point in training/seniority the FO's left? If at the 1-2 year point that would be interesting.
