Can I get PHL out of training? I was offered a class date in July. Also how may hours a month should I expect to fly during reserve? Is it like 9E or RAH that are barely getting flight hours ?
Reserve has been running something like 20-30/month on average. A lot of variability, but it's nowhere near guarantee. New reserve rules will offer the ability for people to fly or not fly somewhat more according to their preference. |

July class = fall finishing IOE. Highly likely you can get PHL by then or very shortly thereafter.

April data isn't out yet but per March data most junior at PHL is 4 months and most junior Line Holder is 11.6 months and most junior Round 1 line holder is 12 months.

Also we had a 20% reduction in the number of lines in PHL. Seems that flying was shipped to ORF and TYS because that makes sense.

I know of multiple people on reserve in PHL that haven’t flown at all in March.
If reserve was structured and used properly, there'd be so many senior people bidding it, that junior people would have lines. |

We are picking up new PHL flying with the new schedule so we'll see what that brings.

Honestly, that's supposed to be the point of reserve. Reserves should be used for unexpected events, not to compensate for a failure to staff the airline appropriately.
If reserve was structured and used properly, there'd be so many senior people bidding it, that junior people would have lines. 1) sick calls (unpredictable but not unexpected) 2) covering delays (see #1) 3) half trips left due to vacation, training, etc |

Don’t believe anything until you see it. I HOPE we get more and I think we probably will but until it’s reflected in the bid package you cannot assume anything.
