I'd love to get on with PSA as I live near Charlotte. If was a new hire, I'm guessing the company puts me where they want me. How long would it be to get into Charlotte? Getting a line and being on reserve I know are two different things, but could I squeeze into CLT quickly? Don't mind being reserve there for a long while if it means I get to be at home while doing so.

Most people can get Charlotte before they’re out of training. That might mean you commute for a month or two to Philly, but you should be able to hold Charlotte fairly quickly.

Agree Charlotte quickly. Charlotte has substantially more FO’s than the rest of the bases combined. It’s hard to be really senior when there aren’t many other places to go

I meant to ask the interviewer, but I totally forgot.

Can anyone shed some light as to what the training footprint is? Maybe an idea of how it goes, timings, and the locations?

DAY 5 weeks
1 INDOC with Limitations Test and FOM
2 SYSTEMS with test
2 SIPS (Procedures Training) ending in PVAL test
All ending in Mock KV

Home for a few days to a week then
Actual KV

Home for a week to a few weeks
SIMS 24 Days
In either CLT CVG ATL
Ending in MV and LOE

The “home for a few weeks” parts are entirely variable based on the needs of the Air Force. The footprint really isn’t predictable enough to plan around. Just ride the elephant

I got an email with all that information on 4/26 for the 5/24 class date.
