I doubt the historic long wait for CLT will come back with TYS/ORF/CVG closed. There just aren't that many other places to put people.
I was in the early June class and was able to get CLT before getting out of IOE. I’m pretty sure everyone in my class is in CLT. We are all on SCR.

That’s good to hear. What are the time windows for SCR? Trying to plan how I might handle it living 2.5 hrs from CLT

2 hours from call to report time. Also, you will need to plan to sit hot reserve one to two of the days of your reserve period depending on which reserve bucket you fall in…

I meant to ask what block of hours I need to be available during the day for 2hr callout. I’ll have to find some place between my house and the airport to hang out

Your whole RAP (Reserve Availability Period), which is 13 hours. However, they have to have you scheduled to block in somewhere 15 min before your RAP ends. So in theory you should become unusable after 2 hours and 45 minutes (two hour call out plus 45 min preflight duties) prior to the last flight which could comply with the latest available block out, however they have been known to assign someone HRV (ignoring the bucket system, if need be), which has a 2 hour report time, then immediately assign you a flight when you report to the airport (don't need the 45 min preflight period, but a flight does have to depart within the Ready Reserve Period). It's basically a back door way of getting around the 45 min report time requirement.

It gets even more interesting on your last day of reserve when they would have to give you an assignment to gets you back to base. I've had them try and give me a HRV assignment at 1845 on my last day of reserve, which isn't contractual, and pretty pointless, but they tried. When I kept asking how the assignment was legal, the scheduler got frustrated and eventually hung up on me.

What is the current seniority ranking of the bases? By what I've read here it seems that CLT and DAY seem to be the senior bases out of the four? Does that check?

day is senior for captains due to cvg closing

historically day has been a junior FO base and that should return shortly

clt > dca/phl > day

So, what is the deal lol. the more and more I read on the forums, the more I hear about how PSA will start parking planes because of lack of Capts...I mean, i'm sure it's not just PSA as almost every other regional forum has the same trend. What are you guys' opinions on the 3 WO? I keep hearing PSA is the 'lesser evil' of the three with all and all

Thanks! so, a jr FO could, in theory at least, easily get PHL/DCA over CLT/DAY? At least, for the unforeseeable future?
