good luck getting someone in HR to verify it. Took 3-4 months of back and forth before some did it for me, years ago. And that person is no longer here.

How long have you guys been waiting after finishing Sips in Dayton, for the KV? Been waiting about 1 month so far and nothing
Also how far out in advance would you know your kv date? Bonus question: what is the schedule like right after the KV? And Is there any more waiting |
PSA New Hire taxes
Just a heads up for those either going to or considering going to PSA. While you are in new-hire training, you are taxed by the city of Dayton. Because PSA is headquartered in Dayton and the fact that you attend training in the City of Dayton, you are obligated to the City of Dayton Tax ordinance. Over my couple of months in training, I was taxed over $600. The training folks informed us we would get that all back when we filed our taxes. That is not correct. The city of Dayton tax form required to be filed requires a verification signature from PSA and the accounting folks refuse to sign it. So, you are basically out an additional $600+ dollars in Dayton City taxes and you will continue to pay Dayton City taxes until you fully complete training and arrive at your initial domicile. Don't plan on getting that $$$ back contrary to what they tell you in training. Add that to the initial $500 in uniform costs they hit you with right away and you essentially start off in the hole.
Good luck! |

Good luck! As far as extra taxes go, if you are ever based in NY or CA, it will happen again and you will not get those back. |

Extra deductions for paid family leave? Yes, you pay for that, but you can use it like anyone else if you need it. |

No thanks. Don't want to pay it. And it is a tax.

That nypfl tax is a net positive of $10,500 for me since paying into it. It’s more a mandatory insurance, than anything.
