I'm surprised that our MEC (PSA) hasn't reached out to the Eagle MEC. With the AA/ US merger imminent, you would think that they would want to map out a strategy. Currently, all ALPA US Express carriers have a committee where they meet to discuss issues and try to prevent whipsaw. I think it's important to get Eagle on board with this committee. Include furlough protection that requires hiring off the RAPA furlough list before hiring off the street. Do your seniority list integration as you negotiate it, then fence it from below. New hires after that use their RAPA seniority regardless if they transfer from/to another carrier. Think steel workers union.... Take 401k and benefits program away from management also. Just a few ideas to get you started. |

You want to stop the whipsaw... Dump ALPA, form the Regional Airline Pilots Association and write one contract to cover all pilots regardless of which airline they're at. One seniority list based on DOH at a RAPA airline.

I don't understand. Your posts are quite intelligent and you have a picture of Irion Maiden's plane on your avatar, yet your screen name is Texas pilot. Shouldn't you be listening to country and calling people ya'll!? Shoot!
