Eagle and PSA merged?

I'll be the first to say this is of course strictly rumor, no real source but....

With the USA/AA merger most likely being announced on Tuesday. Lets toss around the idea of the new company deciding to merge PSA and Eagle.

Eagle is obviously short staffed and not finding enough pilots to cover its want of 500 pilots this year. It just so happens that PSA has just over 500 pilots. I don't see any furloughs being needed at all. With people flowing to the new AA (either by the all ready in place flow agreements or a new one) they could even continue with the plan of parking 50 seat jets without the need to furlough anyone.

This may sound crazy but i feel like there has to be at lest one merger between the wholly owned regionals of the soon to be new AA.

who knows... but just because PSA has 500 pilots doesn't mean anything. PSA has 500 pilots cause it needs 500 pilots to do it's flying. If AE were to just scoop up all the flightcrews at PSA who will do their flying?

But if Eagle hires furloughed pilots, they can hire them at first year pay.

Well flying on both sides would likely shrink some with the ERJ's and CRJ-200's being parked.

that "beautiful idea" (yes veryyyy sarcastic mode ) is why the airline industry is how it is right now! .....

sad part is it will most likely happen

Who knows but Airways owns 200s leases until 2019..... Don't see bombardier really wanting more 200s back and allowing them out on leases.....

Don't really follow American but didn't they pick RAH over SKW because they specifically wanted E170s?
