I tend to agree with your assessment but this new bid that closes in a few days will be telling. It's Charlotte only and I am curious how many FO's actually upgrade vs. pilots moving from DAY or TYS.

We pay new FO's min guarantee from day one so yes. Plus per diem. Not sure if that is answering your question though.

My money is on 7 TYS/DAY CAs awarded CLT with 7 FOs upgrading into their TYS/DAY slots and 3 FOs upgrading directly into CLT.

I've felt better flying with the new captains than I have the super senior guys. The new guys are still making sure they are covering everything, crossing every t and dotting the i's. The senior guys think they already know it all and it seems like I do more work cleaning up after them.
