PSA upgrading out seniority. Is that true enough for you? DECs are bottom of the seniority but flying as Captains. How about that truth? For each DEC they hire that is less CURRENT FOs who will be able to upgrade down the road. Is that enough truth for you?

We can talk about how your current FOs can upgrade down the road: Displacement Bid. That may be too much truth for you PSA folks to handle right now.

Can't we all just get along??? Despite how intelligent many of you may be, it will have no bearing on what the company is doing. I would throw a fit if we start forcing eligible FOs to upgrade. That would raise more problems and even safety issues so yes DEC is the lesser of two evils for now. I have nothing against DEC guys and gals that sat on the right seat for years to come here and gain some PIC time and better pay in order to be more competitive down the road when majors and lccs hire like a mad men.

Bottom line is they (FO's) are still senior.

If someone wants to go to PSA then they should go for it. Personally, I've never been that short sighted.

As arrogant as it may sound, I don't want someone who is that clueless about the career choices they're making, flying along side me. PSA is a black hole of an airline if your goal is one of the big 3. If that's not your goal, then go for it.

Another 20 Envoy pilots flowing to AA in July & an additional 100-120 flows by end of 2015. Since January 2013, Envoy has successfully advanced 481 pilots to American Airlines. For 2016 we will flow a minimum of 360 Envoy pilots to AA.

As as result, a new hire at Envoy today is projected to make Captain at Envoy within 2.5 years and is projected to flow through to American within 6 years of date of hire.

Good luck !

Regardless of which side of the discussion you argue, your position or how you interpret the information you see(are given is leaked), etc. Admitting when you are wrong is important. I try and do it, not always successfully, but I do try.

Thank you eaglefly. I know we don't alway agree but appreciate this post.

Btw. Some of the good news that I'm aware of has been slipped to latter this year. Think October. This is to prevent additional training cycles for pilots who would be moving about.

I still believe coming to envoy now will put you ahead of the curve. I also think PDT and Compass are good choices right now.

Correct. Also envoy pilots still verify in CASS as AA which has some benefits

A new hire at PSA or any other regional for that matter will have close to 19,000 regional pilots, X,000 Corporate, X,000 Military & X,000 Cargo Pilots ahead of them already. You can apply in 2 years, sure. You can also apply right now if you'd like to for that matter. But the honest truth is they will have to wait +10 years before their application and qualifications are competitive enough to even be looked at. +20 000 pilots is a lot of competition.

I'm sorry, but PSA have No actual flow through (only 4 interviews/month), and that's it.

NEW hires with less then 500 hrs airline SIC experience should choose to go to a company with Actual Flow Through like Piedmont (3/month to AA) or Envoy (50% flow to AA). That would get you to the majors faster than competing with the above numbers mentioned. Now if you already are a CA with X,000 hrs PIC it's a different story. But for New hires with little experience in the airline world Flow Through is the way you want to go.

Get ahead of the curve & good luck to y'all !

But my recruiter told me there is a pilot shortage and I would be big pimpin' in a triple 7 in no time !!!!!

Wake up call - there are more regional pilots on staff today than there were 6 months ago. The powers that be have successfully duped many of you into playing musical chairs. It may seem good now, but give it time.
