There is no such thing as a free lunch. The company needs IOE clarification and we need more flow numbers. It's a win win. I't might suck getting displaced here and there. But it does help the student/company/IOE instructor out a lot. Plus if you get displaced you gave the option of doing nothing. Stay at home.
This is a horrible attitude.

You can't be that clueless are you? Those planes were planned to be moved way before a PSA vote. ERJ's were planned to be moved to PDT long ago. Parker made it obvious that he wanted 3 WO'ed carriers at or about the same size. Eagle tried to put on their big boy pants and Parker reached up and pulled them down and spanked hard. Nobody is better then the other.

Envoy is no better then PSA or PDT and the faster you come to grips with that the lower your blood pressure will become.

This 100%... I'm not against every aspect of the contract. I just don't think we should be so hasty to sign in a TA that has some serious grey areas that WILL end up negatively impacting QOL for FOs at some point. There is simply no need, and no excuse for it.

The problem is there's no clear language to guide the company. There isn't any in the current contract either. Some how right now they can displace you at any time up until 1200 hours prior, no max limit. The LOA doesn't fix that either. The current contract allows the company to violate the trip trade language, trades up to 48 hours, with the displacement language, any time up to 12 hours prior. Once you're displaced into additional flying or(read and) LCR, you are locked from trading due to being a "reserve" pilot.

Did I explain that clearly enough? Not trying to be an ass, the interwebs sucks in clear communications sometimes.
You're not being an ass. I see what you're saying. I do see how this can be twisted into sch favor.

Apparently now the NC is seeking clarification on the displacement language from the company... AFTER THE TA HAS BEEN SENT FOR A VOTE. What a clown show this place is. I mean seriously, how was that not something you addressed when you were negotiating to begin with? And it's not like it was a recent revelation. Pilots were pointing out the grey language a week or two ago. Unbelievable.

You make it sounds like the NC cares about its f/os. I find it funny you seem like you're screaming for justice and better qol, but nobody has sympathy for you.
