I'm not making it up. It has been said by recruiters. They would prefer an FO from somewhere like ExpressJet who has stuck it out at his company for 5+ years than a guy who has bounced around regionals chasing a quick upgrade. If you have been somewhere for a number of years, then yea maybe... But then again why would you be making a lateral move and not an upward move to an LCC or something?

Someone that got shanghaied into coming to PSA in the last 6 months by the lies of recruiters is royally screwed. They are going to be on reserve for a LONG time, and have a really long upgrade in front of them. There is no reason for this. They can go to another airline and get more money and a better quality of life. They can spend 5 years there, and then move on. It will be 5 years at least at PSA anyways.

If for no other reasons, having fewer employers makes filling out applications easier. I will not leave Mesa for a lateral move, only upwards.
I don't understand though why some one would go to GoJet over Mesa. As useless as our union appears, they do prevent the attrocities that GoJet can inflict on individual pilots.

If your only criteria is pay, I see your point. If you look beyond pay, well, just ask all the former GoJetters that are flocking to Mesa. Vast majority of them think Mesa is a million times better. PSA's training, you guys seem to still be failing a lot of people, some very smart, and sharp individuals that are very fine pilots. I've flown with them, it doesn't make sense. Oh well, no such bullcrap at Mesa.

Although I do know a guy at Mesa that is a quality pilot, I know of three personally that have busted training at psa and passed at Mesa six months later without any problems. So this is definitely true
