That's what I was thinking. There's a lot of assumption that the flow is a guaranteed job. It's a garuanteed seat in training, nothing more. AA still has many wickets and ways to remove undesirables. I don't know the guy and I wish him luck but we might see him back here at PSA as an FO.

Maybe he chose to bypass upgrade due to external factors. How would it be any different than career guys at other airlines who bypass upgrade and retire as FOs?

In comparison ALL of Envoy's flows are qualified captains and from a very demanding training program. The future flow there that is projected to kick-in sometime later next year will allow F/O's at least for now, unless that agreement is changed, which is quite possible. Hopefully, this guy will leave his cockiness at the door in AA training.
