I'm pretty happy that all those old and rural voters in the flyover states and rust belt that voted for Trump seem to be the people getting screwed the most by his policies. This is just another example.

What a kind, thoughtful, and considerate statement.

That's not a very good analogy. Roads were around long before airports.

Whats next no roads leaving cities, costs to much to maintain.

Ever considered that 5 MILLION lbs of salmon that came out of Kotzebue a couple of years ago? How about the huge fish run out of King Salmon last summer?

EAS assures pax AND freight service to WRG, PSG, YAK, CDV and Kodiak. You may remember that Kodiak hosts a critical Coast Guard base as well.

How about freight service to BRW and SCC? I guess you missed the importance of keeping the oil flowing off the North Slope.

Ignorance is indeed bliss.

Freudian slip of the keyboard? What are you referring to? Do you know what that means? @highflight and if you're going to tag me use the @ symbol so I get the notification. Your old is showing.

Of course I know what it means. And adding an @ symbol does nothing on this forum, dunno what you are talking about.

Plus, I wasn't replying to you, it was to someone else.

Ummm, last I recall, fish and oil are both commodities sold on the open market. Your examples are the exact definition of subsidies. Just sayin'

Why do you need EAS for that? That sounds like a very profitable center of commerce at certain times of the year. The private sector will take over when it makes sense to.

The sad reality is that if EAS does go away (it won't) then it will only make the pilot shortage worse because it will be harder for the low time pilots to reach 1500 hours.

And this is a bad thing for the pilot profession how, exactly?

EAS moves people.
Not cargo.
Especially not pink stinky fish.
