As of 5pm today, Mesaba has issued a vacancy notice for the full recall of ALL furloughed pilots. Classes start April 2.
If anyone is looking to Mesaba as a possible employment choice, NOW is the time to apply. Seniority means everything, especially here since this is a fairly senior workforce on average. Apply, interview and without hesitation take the first class date you can get.
Good luck.

They certainly have turned. A lot of ticked off people here now with the whole seat lock scenario as we watch new hires walk onto the jet and get based in MSP.

yeah i was wondering how that was going to play out. it would be tough to be a 2 year fo there on the saab and be stuck there while a new hire get the jet and more money!! is there any recourse for fixing this?

Not sure that I would want to be that new hire either, given the ill will that would probably be tossed their way if things don't get sorted out with seniority rights/pay.

They won't be getting more money. We have a blended pay rate for FO's, so it doesn't matter the airplane you fly, we all get the same pay.

I am hoping we are all adult enough to not direct the feelings toward the new hires. It certainly isn't their fault. I was simply making the point that the way the company has choosen to handle the recall is not the best for building moral. Just an example of what life can be like in the regional business. Trying to spell out the fine print that being senior sometimes works as a disadvantage. Seems especially true when the tail of the airplane is Red.
