New ASA minimums

If airlines were forced to only hire high time pilots(1000+/ATP rated), then those airlines would operate just like Mesa. With the critical shortage of pilots, there would be cancled flights, crew trackers waiting at the gates, and days off would dwindle down to the bare minimums.
So, without us low timers you high timers would not be in the positions your in, or the positions your about to be in. In conclusion, stop looking down on us pilots that are accepting WORK with low times and start thanking us!

so then why is mesa, which has pretty much the lowest mins in the industry, not able to hire enough people who accept that kind of work? ttheyre still cancelling flights and getting worked hard. heres a whole lot more to it than that.

While I'd love to see this, you'd still have the old argument that "I once knew a 3000 hour pilot that couldn't fly his way out of a paper bag".
To that I'd say there are a lot more 1500 hours ATP's that can do a better job in the right seat of an RJ than 300 hour direct trackers.

I don't mean to offend anyone else here either but...
Who the hell do you think you are coming in here and talking to us like that?
What are you a CFI? Are you even that yet?
I'm so sick of seeing you low time punks come on here and talk like you're hot stuff.
If I'm captain and I get a snot-nosed punk like you sitting right seat, I'll be calling dispatch and telling them I refuse to fly with you.
Little advice- Grow up kid. You've got a lot to learn, I don't care how good you can shoot an ILS or how well your steep turns are, you aren't ready for a damn 1900. I guarantee you that.
APC Mods, I'm sorry,...something had to be said.

I believe the Pinnacle RJ crash could have been partially attributued to a low time CA and FO (as well as both being stupid). Didn't they take the AC up to 41,000 on a ferry flight, and the FO stalled it while the CA was in the back grabbing a coke. They couldn't restart the engines due to lack of system knowledge (and core lock), and crashed just a few miles short of the runway while trying to deadstick it in.

Your facts are somewhat off. The FO was very low-time, and I believe this was one of several factors which caused this incident.
The CA was a known cowboy, and I suspect a more experienced FO would have put a damper on the screwing around that led to the accident.
