Single occupancy is one of the things I was excited about when I interviewed at Mesaba. I can have my wife and kid fly up to YUL to visit while I'm in training

36 months for initial hire equipment lock UNLESS you have opportunity to upgrade. There is no seat (status) lock for new hires, just the 1000 hours with company to upgrade.

If you lateral (when you are able) to another equipment, you are then seat (status) locked for 24 months.

I can assure you that there are no cases of "junior" F/O's upgrading on the CRJ.

At SkyWest it's its a double room but can request your own room and you will have to foot half the bill. JetJock - did you get your own room when you went in for transition to CRJ or did you get a double?

YGBSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what am in college or even worse....on spring break (days of sharing a room are OVER!!!) ?????????????

is this an isolated case or the standard??

thoughts?
Are you joking? You have someone else to study with. It isn't that big of a deal. I was forced to live in a dorm with two very different college roomates. One was a very loud "screamin Korean" who always ran around naked and the other was such a bible beater he is an evangalist in africa. Believe it or not the second one and I were good buds. We had a nice system. I'd go to the bars and do bad things. He'd pick me up, drive me home, and lecture me about them. Never got a ticket!

My freshman year of college...first semester in the dorms my suite comprised of:

A morman, A koran who barely spoke English, A Jamaican, a wrestler who didn't want to go there but got a scholarship, and an air force ROTC guy....and me.

Talk about the biggest mix / thrown together, weird combination.

Of course the morman was my roommate, and im quite the opposite....smoke cigs, drink, stay out late, blah blah blah

Edit: Forgot to post on the original subject. Sharing a room isn't terrible. Just be courteous, and try to get along! Or ya can get your own room.

I called the hotel that SKW is putting me in and they said it was rare that people were assigned two to a room even though SKW says its double occupancy. Who knows... I plan on paying the difference for my own room if I have to. I'm not in college anymore.

During transition and upgrade you get a private room, 70 hours pay and per diem for the entire month; which includes all off days and weekends. Nothing like being home 12-14 days with per diem. Basically, I'm making about $350 per month more than when I was on line.
