On the flip side. My quality of life at TSA has been excellent. I was hired into the 2nd class after the furlough. This in turn allowed me to gain seniority very fast. I started out as the number 50 FO in RIC working a reserve line to now in April the number 30 FO with a hard line. I trip trade, I bid durring open time, and I take the time to work on my schedule to get what I want. The overnights are tolerable. Its a jet. Not many guys my age (20) can say that got a job in a jet with 1000 hours.

The pay check has never bounced.

The captains for the most part are pretty cool guy and girls. I can't complain about that. We even have a few cuties for F/A's and Pilots.

This company is a regional airline. REGIONAL AIRLINE! You will fly to the same places and get paid the REGIONAL wage. Its not spectacular. But if your looking for a company thats no bull and by that I mean you F up your gone, and if your looking for a good pilot group. Then TSA is right for your. If those don't mean anythign to you and all you want is good pay good company and brand new airplanes....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

just wait until the end of the summer and we will see how much you like TSA. After they lose or give up the united flying and they close the richmond base, things will be awesome there. Sounds like a great place to me. With the current state of the regionals, go to one that is growing and has future propects, DO NOT go to a regional that has resorted to hiring 250 wonders just to cover their crazy attrition, not one person that has been hired in the past year at TSA was for growth, it has all been for attrition. Captain attrition is only going to get worse, can you say CQFOs, and/or street captains, no contract negotiations in sight, GOJET Growth, loosing the good overnight hotels, can we say Crowne Plaze at PHL. That was one of the only things I enjoyed about that job. The pay issue is kind of true, all regional pay is bad, but at places like SKYWESTyou have duty rigs which makes first year pay more there than second year pay at TSA. XJET, CHQ, AirWisconsin, and SKYWEST all pay at least 7 more dollars per year for second year pay than TSA. So yeah the pay is ****, but when your working for pennies, more pennies is better than less pennies. Yeah TSA is awesome. Good Call.

I've heard of a few people there jumping ship to other places, like skywest. If FOs are leaving after 6 months, it might be a bad sign. Just a thought.
