I talked with the chief pilot the other day and they are going to change the sim ride into a 737, more realistic, the CRJ sim is very fast and sensitive.

Remember you attitude says alot, if your low time act low time with the willingness to learn. Myself and the sim instuctors were there once and we want you to succeed. Good Luck!

Hey two dot, did you get the job?
This is what happened to me. I passed the written, the interview went well, and the sim was great. I know this because when I got home, a recruiter called me and thinking he had me on hold, read my evaluation back to me, or whatever. The check pilots wrote that I was very smooth on the controls, asked if I ever flew 121 before. (No, but I practiced like hell on Microsoft Flight Simulator ACOF) Gave them the correct entry, that trim in the crj sim is hellified, so heads up for that. At the end of the evaluation they wrote and underlined it twice that I was DEFINENTLY TRAINABLE.

Now the weird part. When I got home, and remember I am still talking to this recruiter, HE OFFERS ME.....................A position as a CRJ ground school instructor. What!????? Told me it was a 2 year commitment, then I could go to the line. He asks if I would come in and talk to him, I do and I'm like, I didn't apply for this, nor do I feel qaulified to teach anyone this information (I don't have my CFI or ground school certs.)
I tactfully but strongly reaffirm my interest in flying as a F.O. not a desk.
He then tells me to go home and wait on a phone call.

2 days later I get a call, saying, your not qaulified for this job, (DUH) you need more experience, go out and become a C.F.I. teach some ground school, and then when you reapply in 6 months I still want you to start off as a ground school instructor, I'll have you do that for a year, after that I may let you go to the line, but in reality, your chances of making it at that point are slim to none. I was shocked. He then tells me to call him anytime if he could be of service. WTF? I called Rachel, and she says you interviewed good, passed the test, but your sim ride is what did you in.
(At this point I'm like yeah, sure after hearing what the other recruiter told me, accidently perhaps.)

However, this story isn't over. As a concellation prize, I have been offered an interview (GARANTEED) with a company that flys EMB's 130/140's provided I meet thier mins. At first, I didn't have a way to do that, now I do. Its' looking real damn good for a shot at moving to Houston, Texas. (And no, its not CHQ OR COLGAN,that only leaves one, think of Branded Flying.)

Anyway thanks PSA, I learned quite a bit from your interview experience, but I think I will just move on to other things. So you know what they say, if one door closes, another opens up that oftentimes may be better than what you wanted.

Take Care everyone, and again congrats to those who made it through.

I WILL SEE YOU ALL ON THE LINE JUST AT A DIFFERENT AIRLINE.

Hey Hawk, if you have a car, get on route 40, the Vandalia exit. Turn left or right and you have a number of food places to eat at. I prefer you make a right, take 40 over the Englewood Dam, then where it dead ends make a left. You'll see some pretty good stuff, Meijer, Mickey D's the works. If you jump on I 70 east to the Beavercreek WPAFB exit, you can go to the Mall at Fairfield Commons, stop at the Golden Corrrall and eat till you mess up your wieght and balance configuration, or at least have folks think your due. One more thing, if you go left on 40, make a right on North Dixie Drive. Go to a place called York Commons, its all pretty new, Super Wal Mart, Chipotle, etc. If you can, get the Shuttle Bus Driver to go there instead of that overpriced Miejer store. trust me, you'll be glad you did. A liitle further down is the North Dixie Drive in, though I have No idea what you married types would want to go there for...........
