From what I hear, SKYW will be putting a base in ATL soon. Apparently, they have started with a few reserves but soon the squeeze will be on ASA.
If SKYW, agrees to a pay increase at ASA, YOU CAN BET, that the pilots at SKYW will scream loud, hard and long for the same treatment. It's a sticky situation for management. But we all know that Congress won't let ASA pilots walk off their job, no matter what ALPA says.

Ellen I agree with you but I bet you Congress cannot take action if for 2 days all the pilots call in SICK.
How about Pilots just Quitting all togeher, I think we are seeing more and more people leave the Profession, and I am just speaking from my Gut that eventually things will get better and management will listen....

If two days is too short, maybe all pilots should take a week off to help fight Fatigue Recuperation Syndrome (FRS).
Then we can get the Drug Companies to make a pill that will help prevent FRS. . . then the airlines can get Congress to mandate that all airline pilots have to take the pill once a day at the Government's expense with the daily dose cost of $100. Passengers can then feel safe, pilots will feel better rested, the airlines will get higher production out of their pilots and the Drug companies will get rich . . all while the pilots will experience the side effects of premature death before age 60, thus contributing to the pilot shortage.
