Default Thread dedicated to wait times for training?

Since there are a number of companies that have quite a wait for training slots, i'm curious if it might be beneficial to have a single thread with the wait time. Simply put, it would help someone gauge how they should approach their employment options.

Only a suggestion; had a friend of mine quit their previous job prior to interviewing only to realize they're not going to have a training date until late October.

It’s pretty well known that Endeavor, Republic and possibly SkyWest have classes filled well into the fall. I think most others are currently filling classes for the months ahead and can get you in pretty quickly.

Well that’s not very smart.

I think it was a good idea to make this thread. Currently waiting for a class date with Republic. Not sure when that'll be, and it's already been over 5 months since I interviewed. I know ExpressJet offers classes right away and no delays in training. 2.5 months start to finish. Things seem to be improving over there. Anyone else have any inputs/updates?

As far as I’m aware Air Whisky is always hiring for immediate starts. 2 classes a month if memory serves.

What is it about republic that you are willing to wait indefinitely for a class? Do you live in one of their bases, or is your current gig so good, you don’t mind continuing there until called?

For me, I would live in base. My current gig, while not full time flying, pays better than what I would make until CA. Stockpiling cash until I get the call.

Well, when I interviewed, I was only at 1,200 TT. So either way, I had to wait until I reached my mins. Fast forward 5 months, and I am currently at my 1,500. So given that classes are still very backed up until the fall, I am applying elsewhere. Gonna check out ExpressJet. As mentioned before, I think they are in a great spot right now and the future seems bright.

Makes sense. Thanks for explaining.

My experience was nearly exactly 6 months from interview to class start.
