No you're totally bad. You should go turn yourself in to the CP like the other bootlickers

So you’re saying: “Pay me thousands of dollars and walk my resume in.”

You’re basically a blue falcon if you don’t split it.
All went quiet when I got hired elsewhere...
What happened?
I thought we were buddies?

Your “friend” should’ve compromised and offered to split the referral bonus if you would split the sign on bonus. Or you could just take your $16-18K, let him keep the $5K, and then YOU find someone to refer. I think your “friend” and the rest of the Pilot group at PDT were the real winners here....

Adversity isn’t something you handle well, is it?

When I was at the regionals i flat out refused to refer anyone and get money because we were 6+ years in negotiations. My "referall" for people was to go elsewhere. Never saw a bonus of any kind at the regionals.

Referall bonuses are garbage. Refuse it and demand that money in your compensation package.

When people ask to split the bonus I say sure, I’ll split the 5k with you up front and you can split the 5mm with me on the back end. Sound good?

Then they realize the door you are helping them to open.

Or they don’t.

I will probably be applying to PSA in the next month or so and I'm accepting offers from current pilots to split the referral bonus. So far the best offer I have is 60% me 40% him. If you'd like to offer something better, please PM me.

I find it can be difficult to split in some cases because they pay the bonus at my airline in phases. Paid in phases based on the longevity and performance of the referred pilot (people have different things going on in life which means milestones within the company happen at different times and not to mention the bonus is of course taxed. I don't necessarily mind splitting it but I'm sorta along the line of, hey I get the bonus by referring you. You get the bonus by referring someone else, so on and so on. I don't go back and ask for a 1/4 split from a guy I referred who later got money by referring another person. It gets a little stupid. Just keep paying it forward.

Do you all seriously think regionals that offer referrals are actually hard to get in to? Like you're getting them in? LOL

They're paid for you to shill the company to your impressionable buddies back at school because recruiting can't get enough in

^this is the correct answer^

There’s a reason they’re paying for referrals.
