That's probably correct.

It must be different at other airlines. At my airline FAs will write you up for anything. A union rep shared with me a story about an FO that got fired, during the pilot shortage, because he took an $8 snack pack and was reported by an FA. He was in New Mexico doing FFDO training on his own time off when management called him and he couldn’t make it back in time for a meeting, which was within his rights to do according to our contract.

Another story happened on an overnight; two female FAs and one male pilot. They were drinking and having a good time in the hotel hot tub. They all three decided to go back to the same hotel room. Showed up for work the next day without issue. Weeks later, after one of the FAs husband found out, rape charges were held against the pilot. You can guess what happened after that.

FAs can have as many souls as they want, they’re still liabilities that will not hesitate to throw you under the bus if it suits their immediate interests and/or makes them feel empowered. Same is true for female pilots. Search for “Blackout Betty” on here if you need an example.

I’ll be a dork all I want. I’m not giving them any opportunity.

It’s your personality, you see ppl as a threat. But I can say I understand why you feel that way in this instance. While hanging out with FA’s on an overnight. They told me of other FA’s that wanted to get a pilot in trouble because of his jokes.

Tell me first which religion that would be and do you have supporting documentation and/or formal guidance from your “church”?

No. The courts require “reasonable” accommodation, with “reasonable” being the operative word.

There would be nothing reasonable about that request in the airline work environment.

So all this means that you can't have sex with a FA on a layover anymore.
Marriages between pilots and FA's are going to drop considerably. Bad for them. I mean, for the FA's.

She could just say you grabbed a boob. It doesn’t even have to be that on-the-nose. She could say you were in the elevator or at the hotel bar and may have used some vague sexy-time words. Those cameras don’t have microphones, the footage won’t save you from the firing squad.

Your pants have nothing to do with it.

Give them no opportunity.

You really need to get some professional help.

He's taking it to extremes but there is a grain of truth there.

On the off chance that utterly unfounded accusations are made, and there's no witnesses or surveillance video, YOU are utterly screwed job and career wise. YOU have to provide the exculpatory evidence IMMEDIATELY or walk the plank.

Probably won't ever happen to you, but if it does you won't know what hit you. I didn't really believe it either until I saw it happen.

We're in an unusual employment situation because...

1) Pilots/crew do have a bit of legendary rep from days gone by.
2) We CONSTANTLY are with co-workers in an environment with bedrooms and booze.

The public/media/jurors are more likely to assume accusations are credible if the venue was a bar and/or hotel room, vice the cubicle farm at a white-collar gig.
