Default Internet/Video Interviews a thing?

Are there any regionals that offer some type of online or video interviews as a final interview?

The reason I ask, I am currently a survey pilot with an extended 'on-the-road' contract. I'm expected to be working 24/7 and only can leave my location if a life emergency occurs. I'm reading more and more about how the future regional pilots are getting training dates into next spring. I'd like to have a smooth transition from the time my survey contract ends to the time I start my 121 training if I happen to receive a job offer.

I do not intend to base my choice on which airline I apply to solely on this fact. I thought it might help me narrow down the list a bit. I am still trying to gain permission to leave for a few days as I could then simply schedule an interview in person. I would also not be too excited if I had to wait until my survey contract was over to interview.

Any input or past experiences would be much appreciated.

I was offered a Skype interview at Expressjet a few months ago. I chose to fly in and see the training center, but I understand your reasoning. Good luck in your job search.

Careful. If you just SAY “Mesa” three times, they’ll assign your name to a class date.

You need to click your heels 3 times and say “there is no place like Mesa” and boom, you are in their indoc class.

Did a TSA Skype interview a while back. It was great. Enjoyed that much more than some of the other interviews. Even though it was on Skype it was still very personable.
