Mesaba new hires
#2701
I think LBE is an EAS market, therefore is bound to contract. It seems like it has been about 4 years since we started service there, so the timing might just be right. Being the only game in town for scheduled air service though, I doubt this is true. However with LBEs close proximity to PIT and the Southwest affect in full swing at PIT, it might just be cheaper to drive to PIT and fly Southwest. I too won't believe it until I see it.
Just looked it up, not that wikipedia is always right, but doesnt look like LBE is EAS

I must be mistaken. Maybe we entered the market when USAir pulled out because of subsidies by the city. Actually, that sounds more like what occurred, now that I'm thinking about it.

Just sent my app to mesaba. Just curious do they still have a training contract?

AFAIK - no training contract for new hires, except if you're hired for the street CA position.

Does anyone know if we have been making money on it? Does it seem to make sense that they would keep going there?
