Probably at least 2 years if not more. Street Captains are so junior that MSP is untouchable due to the number of seat locked SF3 Captains already there.

Mesaba obviously "can" do it. But remember, seat locks are released from the top down. As a street captain you will be way, way down the list of locked individuals. Unless we get more jets beyond 2008, plan on the Saab as being your home.

Depends on the month and the scheduler. I have about 50% luck being a senior FO in MSP. As a junior captain your chances will be less than that. We are going to PBS probably by summer, so things may change if the computer does it just based on legality and availability.

Capt...I live in NY as well...on long island. I've never had a problem getting to DTW or MSP for that matter. MEM has the most limited number of flight from NY than the other two hubs. Sometimes I even prefer to two-leg it on WN through MDW into DTW...JFK and LGA are a bit of a hassle for me at times. But if you get DTW, you'll be fine. NW isn't the only option...you have AA and DL as well.

FedEx and UPS as well, though their schedules aren't quite as regular as the Airlines...

Actually, they are much more regular, just maybe not as frequent.
