Mesaba new hires

I sent in my stuff last wednesday and got a rejection email today.
1960TT
1400Multi
300 Turbine PIC

I thought I would be pretty competative with those times. Is it possible that they will not consider me for a FO slot at all because I meet ATP mins and must apply for the CA slot? Still I thought I would at least get a curtesy call.

Are you current?

As far as street CA goes, is any of your time 121?

I'm currently flying about 50 hrs/month part 135 and about 30 of that is in King Airs. My record is spotless. I don't even have any speeding tickets.

I don't have any 121 time though which is why I thought I would apply for an FO slot first.

I'm just baffled.

Hopefully you didn't miss anything on the on-line application, there are a ton of boxes to select. I trust you have the FCC license, First class medical, Passport etc? Seems like something other than your flight times disqualified you. I don't think it would hurt to give it all a once-over and re-apply. Did the rejection letter specify a reapplication waiting period?

Last published seniority list (from a month ago) was 952, with an additional ~50 new hires that were slated to start after it came out.

With the Jan 14 class, we are up to 1004 on the books. I am sure it is just under that though in reality. 99X range.

Guys....when I was hired I was told by HR to expect a training date in March (no specific date yet). I know Mesaba is growing which is a good thing, but with all the talk of mergers and stuff should I be worried?

I really like Mesaba as they were my #1 choice. I'm just wondering if I should be giving this some consideration or to not worry at all.

Sure dont....(see my above post).......and I've called lots of times...
