Mesaba new hires
#6701
The flow is very likely the reason (Not because of any 700's coming here and no there is no mention of needing anything but CRJ PIC type, which would be covered by any of the CRJ series) Though they are only looking for 1 person for now not 3. We all know that there are still quite a few people to be trained over from the Saabs as they continue to disappear.

New flow through award is out. Anybody know if those who are held back are guaranteed slots even if the flowthrough is canceled before their class date?

As far as I understand, once the class date award passes the awardees are locked into going to Delta when the holdback date passes. I.E. if the general class date passes the flows have no recourse but to have gone even if the class is furloughed before the holdback date. They will have effectively given up their spots at Mesaba and will be forced to go to Delta furlough status upon reaching the 3 month hold period. This is the way I understand it, I am by no means an official source of guaranteed accurate information for this.

Hey quick question for you guys, I'm interviewing for the flight ops internship on Wednesday, can anyone give me some information as to what the interns do? I can't find anyone who has done it before.

Depending on what you do I think you shuffle between HQ and the airport... As per details beyond that, I think you get to do a lot of revisions, mailbox stuff, basically anything anyone who was an aviation intern did more or less. I think you might get to sit through a recurrent ground too. Could be a slightly more exciting process with everything going on around here. One of my former students was an intern last year and got to do a variety of things other than the run of the mill and he had good time.

We traveled alot, spent 2 weeks in Detroit doing audits, but highly doubtful that will happen again, who knows though just heard it is rare to travel more than 4 days (overnights) Stuffed alot of mail boxes. It was the most fun I have had at a job, everyone in flight ops was very nice and alot of fun! I truely can say I miss it, highly recommend it! PM if you want more info.

I was an intern this past Spring. LOTS of jepp revisions but it is mostly the master copy located in tech pubs. Lots of random projects in tech pubs. You have to be good on the computer, I worked on mainly company manuals. We went through systems on the CRJ 900 and got to fly the 200 sim, lots of Fun! Each of us got to jumpseat on a part 91 mx flight that was amazing! The flight ops guys' loved throwin stuff at us.CRJ manager C.T. and CP D.W. really liked giving us a run for our
