Also, there was a time recently during which the mins were 500tt/100me.

With AA recalling guys and AE trying to expand, it is reasonable to think that the upgrade time will go down. Although, the current most junior jet captain was highered in '99.

Lastly, AE's web-site still shows the mins at 800tt/100me but just like a lot of other regionals, it seems they're just too lazy to change it.

So, use this info as you see fit.

Not too well. We like guys who can land on asphalt or concrete runways. We found that most C-130 guys head for the dirt just after touchdown. Just kidding, I couldn't help it.

Thanks for the inside info. Now can a new hire request ERJ/CRJ base or a fairly senior base (DFW)? what is it based on? And for the tech part...ATP written is gone? And to study and foucs on the TECH part...what's the bottom line for a new hire to make it or brake-it?

With upgrade times getting shorter and shorter you must be crazy to go to eagle unless you live in one of the bases but on the flip-side if the shortage is true the major are not going to be sticklers about PIC times so it won't matter.
