FSU,
I've been doing the ERAU on-line program. Works quite well, 2 yrs to go. And I'm doing this while commuting to PHL (AWAC)and holding a line as a CA. Gives you something to do in those 36hr overnights AWAC has become famous for!
Seriously, if you can finish on campus, do it. But if you have a job opportunity staring you in the face (like AWAC at PHL), then the on-line program is not a bad deal, you just have to commit to it(like anything else in this industry)
Peace.

Yeah the more I think about it the more my mind keeps telling me to stay put where I am. I guess I am either ready to start working or just have SJS.
Either way. I know what my mind is telling me.
Sometimes I like to keep my options open though.

So what is ERAU like online anyway?
In the future AWAC is one of the companies I would like to work for, mainly because I like PHL domicile... it is close to home for me and my girlfriend lives there and I would already have a place to stay.
How is working for AWAC? Did you have a degree when you were hired? What were your times?
Thanks,
FSU

I'm in the same boat. I made a dumb mistake in leaving school (don't do it, I hated it, but the real world is sucky too). I'm 18 credits short and I really really don't want to go back, so I'm going to have to go the online college route. It's tough, but think long and hard before you get out of college.

For those of you that have done the UVSC classes, how tuff is it??? Not that I'm trying to take the easy route, but I have been out of school for 17 years. I currently have about 1 year at a community college, and I heard that UVSC will give you about 25 credits for your ratings. How much time is needed for each class, can it be done while working full time?? What is the time frame to do about 80 credits?? Is it true that you can do one course at a time? Does an online degree really look bad a major, or is it something that is just a check on the list?
Thanks for the replies....

No job staring me in face as of yet... I still have a good bid of flight time to go...

As far as working for AWAC, well I have my complaints as well as many on this, and other boards. You will never find the perfect company, as they all have issues, some more than others. All in all, AWAC is still a prety good place to be, and will be much better if the arbitrator sides with us next month. And no, I did not have a degree when I was hired at AWAC, in fact I didn't start classes until I was off probation.
If you don't mind the online program, you might want to apply NOW. Although you want to finish your degree first (which is not a bad idea either), seniority is priceless. Only you can make that decision for yourself.
Peace.
