Big Sky, Springfield Shut Down
#11
Full Uniform... wtf. a beat ass white shirt and a zipper tie. Hey, fashionista dork, we are pilots not models. Wearing a baseball cap is not a crime. Not like im some fat ass with coffee stains and jelly doughnut smears all over my shirt. When I am told to wear the full on barbie pilot suit I will, hat included. Until then keep your fashion comments to yourself.
Springfield going away is lame, but the plane is needed in Bos. If we fail in Bos Big sky will be history.

To suggest that I am anything but a professional is slanderous and an outrage. I have seen many a pilot in full regalia that looked anything but professional. My hat does not have anything to do with my professionalism. All of my cohorts at Big Sky are professionals. They all can hang with the best pilots around. Our "laid back montana style" is something more pretentious pilots should embrace. We are not hiding in the cockpit whining, we actually engage the customers. Not that we really have a choice....
I wear my hat with pride.
So order another WAAAAAAAburger, or maybe a WHineken and look for me rollin through the terminal with my hat on... come say hello, I ain't no hillbilly from the movie deliverance...

Hey, As an airport reservist tommorrow at BOS I will be by on walk through terminal A and if I do see somebody with a baseball hat on I'll say hi. You will know who I am, I'm kinda like Tom Hanks in Terminal always walking around and hanging out. Looking at all planes. HAHE

Send me a pm with your name so when I dispatch your flight I can know who I am dealing with.

I work here at Big Sky with you and I see that the "montana" style although nice is not going to help keep us around. Like you said before that the only way for Big Sky to keep going is to do well in BOS. That means SOC working hard to make sure you have paperwork, an aircraft ready, as well as anything else you need for your flight. On the pilot side it means being professional and looking the part for our customers. That doesn't mean wearing a baseball cap with the ipod and backpack or whatever you think you should be allowed to wear.
You're right it doesn't matter who you are I guess. I do have a great respect for the pilots out there flying the line and it won't matter in how I dispatch your flight.
Adios....

I saw a guy (company name censored, but it was a regional) with not only the iPod and backpack and sunglasses last week in PIT, but I just barely was able to notice that one of his socks was WHITE. This was a captain. Sad.
