Curious.

The thing about farts is this. If its just you and the other pilot and one of you farts, then reason dictates the one who did not fart will immediately know who it was. Now, if you have a third person in the cockpit, such as a jumpseater…well, now my friends, there’s a mystery afoot.

I love jumpseaters primarily for this reason…I can let out those slowww teasers with nary a sound. When the fumes rise, let the blames begin.

Spirit has a notorious guy that loses it with the smell of cologne. If a FO shows up with any cologne on, he has him wash it off. A fed wanted to ride up front and he refused to let him because the Fed was soaked in cologne. He says he has an allergy for colognes, but clearly he is just overly irritated by it.

Our FLL base has some of the strongest offenders of the cologne, or "perfume" as they call it. It seems to be popular amongst the Cuban American pilots to lay that spray on, at Spirit at least

Heavy cologne does seem to be part of some cultures. I'd rather that than BO, bad breath, or tuna packets though. Sharing a cockpit isn't always roses, is it?
