I heard a story that a Fed was watching some fo or ca do the walkaround with his cell stuck against their head, and got some fine for incomplete preflight or something. I don't know if its true, but food for thought.

Things that bug me:

Running checklists w/o asking (Imma throw that in the brief now)
Poor airmanship (i.e. not being able to do a simple vfr pattern)
Putting the data card over the rudder trim knob.

Really? I was delayed on the O-Dark-30 in the morning flight out of Del Rio TX last year, waiting for the crew to arrive from the hotel.

All right, cool. It's just you are going to see a lot of things "you don't like."
I've been the, "he'll hear about it" route and, believe me, it won't work for you.

Sorry, our CAL operation does.

Plain and simple:

My biggest annoyance is when the other guy/gal tries to do my job without asking. Chances are I was going to do it, but I didn't feel like it was time yet.

Well, believe it or not, not too much bothers me.

I dont like when CA's dont tell me Im doing something wrong, only to find out by a Good CA that Have been doing something wrong for months......

F/A' that are rude to the PAX, cant speak proper English, and dont ask us if we are at least alive on 3 hr flights...........

CA's that dont tune the frequency when my hands are full......., and they are just sitting there............

Douchebag FO's that dont thank you for getting the walk around ( I know I know we are all supposed to do our own)

I am very laid back and relax. However, being new and on rsv is very difficult. Every capt has a different way of doing things. I had this whole standard issue driven into my head by the training center but, it seems to be far from standard. Its different everyday. I have found that if I am flying with a capt that kinda has the attitude of the person a few posts back "I don't care what you do as long as I don't have to fill out an ASAP". That works well, I can be efficient, relaxed, and do a good job. If I am not sure about something I'll just ask. I can have a good time too. If I fly with someone who is intense and controlling, I have hard time finding the confidence to a good job. I cannot relax. I feel like no matter what button I touch the capt will say something that its wrong. As I get more comfortable in the plane it will probably help. The problem is that I cannot rely on a standard way to do anything. I try to do the best I can. I just kinda take as a learning experience of how to be the best possible captain that I could be someday. As a captain I'll think I how I felt as a newbie Fo and take that into account when managing the cockpit.

-bad attitudes
-people who complain the whole time

copilots who just sit there and do nothing, especially when you do emergency procedures training.
