Away from the details I think that Traveljunky knows what he is talking about as he was in training at your company and describes a lot of things that only a person that been in training there knows. What I have seen lately is that Traveljunky is not alone in his opinions and there are more like hime every day. Maybe it is time for your Company to stop and maybe start looking over things......who know it may be good for the company in the long run.......but it would not surprice me if the attitude is "Nothing wrong with our training" let's keep on with the same strategy. Who cares we lost tons of money on our training department last month.... or..who cares we had to pay tremendous fines to NW for all the flights we had to cancel due to lack of pilots.. at the same time that our wash out is among the highest..........it is just the stockholders money anyway......etc etc.......but hell no, "we do not need to change anything" "Our training and training department is Perfect and we are the greatest Regional to work for".......Keep the face Titanic.
god you again, i am beginning to feel like you and traveljunky are the same person, as others have stated. did you even read my post, i said there are a lot of things to change here, alot. but do i hate the place? no. so there you go. nuff said. i want change and will do what i can to make it happen. so please just go away... you bother us all.

[shortend for length....]
Traveljunky, theskyisclear: who ever you guys are, I must admit that reading this I get a sense of deja vu. I'm among the new guys at PNCL, been here for about 5 months now on the line, and everytime I read one of these bashing posts I can't help but recalling how timid I felt when I started training. Because of people like you I was affraid I might be stepping into something really dark and cruel and to set the record straight once and for all, let me join Airsupport, highney, Silver02ex and such and say that you and others are really full of ..... The defects in the PNCL operation are well known to everybody, no hiding that nor is anybody trying to. But just like others say I join in saying, you come in, do your job go home and usually have fun during the time you're there. Luckily most people I've had the chance to fly with have a great attitude and so do the people you meet along the way in the various crew rooms. People are usually supportive, helpful and rarely greet you with anything else than a smile. We have our problems like most regionals do and while perhaps not having the greatest backup from home (hq...) our human material make up for what isn't there. Coming to work here is a fun experience thanks to the people we have. Even sitting airport reserve (at the time....) which frankly can't get much worse than that was fun thanks to those same people!

Congrats to the new hire...look just bring your clothes and documents with...you shouldnt need anything else. I just past my checkride here and to tell you the truth the people here are great. No worries there. There are a number of people that don't make it through so when you get study study study...and when you think you have studied enough study somemore. You should have no problem. They have changed the training a little..they have these things called CPT's that are graphic flight display trainers and they are touch screen so you get to work in the cockpit and see how the buttons work rather than sitting in a cardboard box. I believe you have 6 sessions...then you go to the sim 8 lessons then your checkride. Ground school there are approx 6 test 3 of which are spoon feed to you but the others you need to know cold limitations, memory items and systems. Like I said study and you will do fine. Other than that the company is growing fast and you pretty much get the base you ask for...at least that was the case for our class. You should be able to upgrade in about 2 years max. Some, if you have the hours, are upgrading in FO ground school. Well I hope that helps...if you need anymore intel...PM me. See you on the line.

Just out of curiousity and for future reference, What is regional training like? Is it all day everyday? Is the training like any other flight training (Tough, but if you study you'll be fine)? thanks for any info.

I am sorry for you, but no, not all that have something different than you to say about any issue or company are the same person and...........sorry again that you cannot shut everyone down or make them dissapear because you do not like their opinion......We are lucky that we still have the freedom of speach and opinion in this country.

On another note. If you read my postings I never mention your company by name and I do not say it stinks or anything drastic I just say my opinion and it is not an opinion regarding what you think or not or what you will do or have done or not. My opinions are not about you man......

My last post was about Traveljunky and not about you.....
You sound like everything is about you and you sound like the ones that say...."or you think like me or you are against me". I am not against you even if it is impossible for you to understand.

You say you know all that is wrong and that you will work to change what ever you can. Great, my opinion is just that, to help, to make more people than you and a couple of newly hired on the line and happy know that there are problems and more serious than many wants to admit and that there are no control over some things and no will to change them.

You dont know how I know things. I may be within you company or maybe not. I know more about what is going on than what you seem to do and that is why I have my opinions.

Even if I would work for the company I would not have any problems about people being critical. On the contrary the critical ones are the ones that in the long run makes us better. Be open for different opinions and do not get so personal when they do not match yours.

You react very hard any time anyone say something critical about your company. Relax and understand that everyone have the right to their own opinion. Hopefully there will always be many different opinions about things even within your company....

There are different opinions about all Regionals and all issues on this Forum and it is all part of what the Forum is all about.

Thanks for the advice. I don't anticipate training being a problem. Here at UND we have to take a CRJ course to graduate, which I am in right now. So I should be a couple of steps ahead when it comes to training but I know the best thing to do is to keep my mouth shut and listen to the instructors because they are the ones that have been on the line. They know what they are talking about so it is in anyones best interest to listen up. Thanks again. See you on the line in a couple of months.
