Pilot Shortage Eases A Little:

There's a temporary easing of the pilot shortage now through 2024 IIRC.
It will resume in spades in 2025, and the demand will exceed previous years by a significant margin for several years to follow.
It's not over yet, all else being equal.

Same here, but the student pilots on the radio had heavy accents and sometimes a little difficulty with English. It must be remembered that the pilot shortage is global in nature, and that the US trains a lot of student pilots that won’t ever work here.

It is a freight train coming. It may have to slow at a curve, but ultimately it is going to be full speed ahead.

Many others simply like the extreme productivity (credit 30 hours in three day).
The shorter the legs, the more legs and more airport sit time and unpaid cockpit setup you do relative to credit. I find transcons and Latin America to be a nice compromise.
